Proving that Sol (soul) music can be exponentially greater than the sum of its parts, Sub-Urban Sol’s live performances will inspire you to dance, bob your head, snap your fingers, clap your hands or just stand there with goosebumps.

The Sol starts with the reminiscent vocal style of Shellie Ferguson’s sensual voice that melds together yesterdays and todays great songstress. Drummer Orrin “Smitty” Smith’s tight pocket, and explosive energy, compounded by bassist Glenn “Doc” Holloway, whose quiet confidence lies in perfect contrast to the emphatic, funky low-end he creates. Cutting thru the music comes Aaron Rhines, pouring out pure Sol in every chord and melody he plays on keys. Guitarist Greg Maly brings sophisticated funk rhythms and soaring lead guitar. Percussionist Louis Loman is the final member, creating a rhythmic presence that ties the whole equation together with a tasteful finesse.

Together, Sub-Urban Sol wants to touch your Sol with their music, their love, and their passion. When you hear this music, you’re going to feel something — you’re going to feel something deep in your SOL
